50 x 50

50 goals to reach before I reach 50 years of age.

This is all Jean's fault! I was immediately hooked on the idea once I read that she had made a list of "50 Things."

And, well, just putting it down on paper didn't seem quite as much fun as putting it on a blog, so here we go...

I think I'll just make a separate post for each of my 50 goals, and just update the posts as I make progress. Or should I say "if" I make progress. Oops...that's not a good attitude to start with, is it? :)

#7--Make 50 Different Kinds of Cookies

Yeah, this so helps with the losing 50 pounds goal, huh? ;)

Haven't done much lately. Sort of miss it.

1. Cutie pie pumpkin--this one's for Mom. (August 2009)

 2. Cthulhu--this one's for Ana. (Sept. 2009)

***Made two more of these during the months of October and November of 2009.

---I crocheted several gifts for Christmas this year, but sadly forgot to take photos of most of them. I'm only going to count the ones I did get pics of, and hope for the best in meeting my goal.

3. Jellyfish ornament. (Made eight of them.)

4. Two different hats for Annie. Only have photo of this one.

5. Bookmark for Ana. (And then one for Amanda.)

















6. Rags for the kitchen.

#9--Read 50 of Annie's Books

Because by the time I turn 50, she may be about ready to move out and take her books with her. Any idea how much it hurts to face that fact?!! No, not the book part, just the fact that she could be moving out so soon. :(

#10--Donate 50 Things to Charity

Not thrift store type of donations. Money. Or handmade things for the local NICU or for T.C. Thompson's NICU (where Maxidoodle stayed) or for Newborns in Need. Or food for the food bank. Anything like that.

1. Hats for the Hat/Mitten Tree at Winslow (December 2009)
2. Money to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (December 2009)
3. Books for Toys for Tots (December 2009)
4. Money to RedCross for help in Haiti (Jan. 2010)

#11--Write 50 Letters.
